McAllister Health is HCAI approved which means we can direct bill your insurance company for MVA’s. Regardless of fault, compensation for rehabilitation is covered by your car insurance company. If you have been in an accident, let our staff know. We help complete all the initial paperwork alongside our patients to support them during what can be a tense and stressful time. After the initial paperwork is completed, we complete all other paperwork and submit it to the insurance company, leaving our patients to focus on their rehabilitation. If you were already a patient before the MVA, you are encouraged to continue treatment with our practitioners who have knowledge of your medical history and any pre-existing conditions.
Workplace injuries can be unexpected, we support our patients through the entire process during their rehabilitation. Your health and wellbeing after a workplace injury is our number one priority. Our goal is to provide the best care and treatment in order to facilitate a full rehabilitation and recovery. Our practitioners do a complete exam, assessment and history, then they provide a plan of care and any necessary and appropriate treatment. The required WSIB paperwork can be lengthy and arduous. We help you with your necessary paperwork and we complete and submit all of our required paperwork to the WSIB, and your employer. We work in communication and full cooperation of the patient, your employer and the WSIB. We bill directly to the WSIB, and they reimburse us appropriately. You are not expected to pay for treatment for a workplace injury.
A custom orthotic is a device designed to align the foot and ankle into the most anatomically efficient position. They look like insoles, but are biomechanical medical appliances that are custom made to correct your specific foot imbalance. Custom orthotics work on your feet much like glasses work on your eyes - they reduce stress and strain on your body by bringing your feet back into proper alignment. The plastic body of the custom orthotic helps to re-align the foot by redirecting and reducing certain motion that takes place during the gait cycle. Custom orthotics fit into your shoes as comfortably as an insole - and they have the advantage of having been made from precise imprints of your feet.

Chiropractors are trained to assess, diagnose and manage sports-related injuries as part of their core competencies. Through a comprehensive history and physical examination, chiropractors can help determine the cause of pain and dysfunction as well as recommend an appropriate plan of management. Conservative care offered by chiropractors, dependent on the injury and mechanism, may include joint manipulation and mobilization, soft tissue therapies, adjunct modalities, rehabilitation and individualized exercises and lifestyle advice to restore proper function, enhance healing of damaged tissue and reduce pain. Chiropractors can also help, in partnership, to determine the best strategy to return to play.

As concussions have become the focus for both professional and amateur athletes around the world, we wanted to be at the forefront of concussion diagnosis, management and rehabilitation. With our collaboration and education through Complete Concussion Management, we now offer the very best in research-proven concussion treatments and rehabilitation. The appropriate diagnosis and management of a concussion is imperative as these injuries may not display obvious outward symptoms and can often go undiagnosed. Inappropriate activities, sporting or school related, following a concussion can increase the risk of subsequent, more serious and potentially permanent or fatal brain injury.
